Popular UK hemp flower sellers Uncle Herb are back up-and-running following a police raid on their premises.
With the police investigation against the business and its sale of CBD-rich hemp flower is ongoing, Uncle Herb is not the first to continue trading after being raided. Hemp Hash have been operating unbothered for many months following a police raid in mid-2019.
The fact that there is yet to be any prosecutions for sellers of low-THC hemp flower suggests that the police may not be entirely sure of its legal status. After all, the laws surrounding hemp flower aren’t 100% clear could be open to different interpretations.
Also, the motivation to enforce a crackdown on a non-psychotropic natural product that’s been used for thousands of years might not be high on the authorities’ priorities.
Or maybe they’re just waiting.
Uncle Herb have been operating for about a year and offer a wide and ever-changing range of CBD-rich hemp buds. All their strains have less than 0.2% THC, which is the Europe-standard THC limit for licenced farmers growing hemp.
They have a statement ont her website wishing their customers a merry Christmas and that they miss them. It reads:
“As a result of the trouble we have had recently there have been a few changes, most importantly we no longer have a payment merchant and have also had to change the bank details for customers to pay by bank transfer… We know it’s an inconvenience but it’s the only way we can reopen at the moment.
