A website selling cannabis in the UK has been putting up adverts on the London underground.
Dispenseroo dot com has even caught the eye of Vice, who published an article about the ballsy company last week.
The story featured comments from the founder of the website, who claims they are raking in £50,000 a week thanks to their guerrilla marketing strategy and a network of cannabis growers spread across the country.
So, it begs the questions: Is Dispenseroo legit? If you make an order, will you actually receive weed? And will it be any good? Not just some CBD?
Well, luckily for you, this journalist has taken the time to investigate Dispenseroo by making an order (purely for professional reasons) and finding out as much about the company as he can…
Is Dispensaroo a scam?
I made an order with Dispenseroo about two weeks ago, after some back and forth with whoever runs their Instagram profile left me feeling like it wasn’t a scam.
And it wasn’t. Two days after making the order and paying via bank transfer (you can also use cryptocurrencies), a mylar package arrived at my home address. I opened it up to find a small, vacuum-sealed pouch with a smaller ‘Strain Station’ packet inside that containing a small lump of hash.
It looked and smelled like good hash – something which is difficult to reliably find in the UK. I put some in my dry herb vape and took a few hits. Yep, it was a hash alright. And it was really nice-tasting and quite strong. Happy days.
To be extra professional, I made another order. This time some grade-A flower arrived the very next day after making the online transaction.
So, no – it’s not a scam. In fact, it appears to be a well-run enterprise that prioritises customer service and convenience.
Popular Youtuber Drewissharing also made an order from Dispenseroo and was overall pleased with the products he reviewed. Check out his video on it here.
There’s only one problem – the fact that cannabis is a “controlled substance” and growing it, selling it and possessing it* is against the law.
* Medical cannabis has been legal since 2018 and prescribed patients can possess and consume certain approved cannabis products, including flower.
Is Dispenseroo safe?
Buying illegal products online is always going to come with risk and we do not advise it. However, in truth, the chances of the police chasing you up over personal amounts of weed being bought online is unlikely.
The biggest risk is if a postal worker discovers your loot. But there’s little chance of that judging by the stealthy shipping methods used with my orders.
Dispenseroo say they base their technical operations in jurisdictions where the sale of cannabis is legal, both recreationally and medically, allowing them to host their operations “without interference from law enforcement in the UK.”
They also say they have a network of growers in the UK who ship out products to customers. In theory, by subcontracting a number of growers, if one gets busted, another will be ready to step in and cover orders.
How foolproof this setup is, I have no idea. I’m no expert in International law. Perhaps someone in the comments could educate me.

Mission
On it’s FAQ web page, Dispenseroo states it’s been founded by “a collective of avid recreational smokers who want to disrupt the UK Marijuana industry in a positive manner.”
Inspired by the way food delivery services revolutionised their industry, Dispenseroo’s mission is “to be the biggest and most customer friendly dispensary of recreational marijuana in the UK”.
“The Dispenseroo team strongly believes that the UK is in the golden age and is coming very close to Marijuana legalisation and we would like to position ourselves in front of the curve before such events happen,” it says on their very professional website.
“We are on the mission to build the UK’s go to destination for all things Marijuana, we want to connect our customers to the best network of growers we have; all through an easy to use website, coupled with great customer service.”
Is Dispenseroo’s weed sprayed?
Both orders I made – the bud and the hash – were top quality. The hash was one of the nicest I’ve had for a while. And the bud was strong-smelling and got me high as a kite.
Judging by other reviews on Trustpilot and Reddit, it seems most customers are happy with their orders.
Summary
To me, it looks like Dispenseroo is run by some tech-smart stoners who are trying to get a head start in a legal recreational cannabis market that they believe is coming to the UK.
They’re not scammers (as far as I can tell so far) and as a business they appear to prioritise customer service, quality and convenience.
With their website and servers located in a country with legal cannabis, it remains to be seen if the authorities will be prevented from closing them down.
But we can be sure they’ll get the attention of the authorities with their brazen marketing techniques – more of which they have planned, according to the Vice article.
Whether they get busted or set the standard for a new recreational cannabis market in the UK, who knows. Either way, it’s an interesting enterprise to keep an eye on.

I got some hash and half a zip of shake just last week and have nothing but good to say, lovely hash and the shakes pretty decent for shake, some popcorny bits and lots of frosty shakey bits
Looks like a little LondonCaviar long fim scam for stoners,,,we all got robbed. Then they stopped answering messages.
UPDATE. 7/12/22 ok so last week they told me the site had been suffering some hacking atacks and all orders were mixed up.
so i waited and they , after 5 more days, replied and appologised, then offered me a voucher to the value of my order…so reorderd and today it arrived.
stealth was ok. 3 layers, not vacuumed.
buds are lovely, so I conclude that i was wrong, theyare legit but under some stress and very busy.
customer service worked in the end, but ignored like 5 of my emails.
all in all, a lot of stress but it arrivedd and it good, if a bit pricey.

Rubbish service I paid for next day delivery and still waiting a week later and I had ti chase them up about it only to then not be offered anything proper to compensate and told il have it wait even longer now ,will definitely not be using again and will be sticking to littlebiggy or street dealers

Do not throw your much needed money down the toilet this dispenseroo is a total scam. Do not believe their reviews, THEY MAKE THEM UP. AND DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THEIR WELL MADE UP WEBSITE. BE WARNED!!

Not going to lie, getting concerned now as no response to my questions on customer support email, live chat, or Telegram. Order hasn’t arrived yet.
Ok got through to customer services on Telegram. They had a backlog due to some banking issues & they are catching up. I can see now on DPD tracking that they have my package and are delivering tomorrow. Panic over. All new businesses are going to have teething issues i guess.

my neg feedback has been BLOCKED….I lost 116.99 of my hard-earned money.
I placed a order and paied with bank transfer 2 weeks ago and they did not send my order, they told me to ask my bank for a refund but you can’t refund bank transfers that you willingly sent. I lost nearly £250 total scam, they wont reply to me now but i created a new telegram and pretended to make a new order and got a reply in 5 mins.
I have used them a good few times over the past few months they are definitely NOT scammers although some stuff ive had off them is hit and miss – like that lamborghini hash they had a few weeks back was advertised as a single filter hash but it was just not that nice at all didnt really do a thing for me .
The best hash they did was the pop smoke by Biscotti Boyz 3x filtered stuff that was legit as hell it was soooooo good and i nailed so much of that stuff man the taste and high was second to none deep cherry undertones with fuel and smashes every other hash ive had over the years by a mile. Blitzed hundreds of pounds worth of that gear in a matter of days just on that hash alone i prob spent close to 800quid haha.
I also have ordered a few various strains of bud over the months off them- Cali strains extremely pricey for 3.5g ive sampled Blue Lime Latti and Cherry Popperz – the latter being not that good and just as good as UK top shelf i can easily get from my local connects – i understand that not everyone has access to decent weed locally so makes sense for some folk but 85/90quid for an 1/8th that you can easily smoke in one night is a lot for most folks and even their UK grown is like 60/65 now for a 1/8th – if its all organic nutrients and can be proven to be so then fair doos i support that way of thinking but man they can be pricey. I check their website regularly to see when they next getting some 3xfiltered gear in cos once you have that stuff you will want nothing else man……nothing comes close to it.
No, they arent, they set up sending out goods as you can see on redditt and trust pilot…but,, they have stopped replying to messages and emials and have not sent me anything.
I would say they just robbed me, then blanked me..and so do loads of reviews online.
also there are claims that many reviews are removed.
Unless you cant set fire to your hard earned cash at home, you can always send some to dispenseroo, who will burn it for you. AVIOD.
My first order went OK. Placed 2nd order last Sunday. I received order confirmation. The money has left my account and nothing. I’ve tried contacting them via email website and telegram and again no response..after looking at the reviews on here and on trustpilet I guess I’ve been robbed. PEOPLE PLEASE DON’T SEND THESE GUYS YOUR MONEY

Be careful when ordering from DISPENSEROO (Dispenseree)…..I ordered an ounce of mixed shake 1st Feb….Paid 116.99 but didn’t receive anything….it’s been more than a week now….I sent them several emails asking about my order but got no reply….I tried leaving a neg feedback on their site but it has been blocked….I felt like being a victim of a DAYLIGHT ROBBERY….my hard-earned money being wasted.

However I just checked my royal mail tracking just incase and they say they have it and being delivered tomorrow. Check your tracking, you might be lucky too
I ordered stuff on 23rd March, its now the 29th and I have got NOTHING!! NO CONFIRMATION OF ORDER, no replies to my numerous messages, even downloaded the telegram app but still no replies. Just been scammed out of 166 quid, the set of ROBBING BASTARDS SHOULD BE HING BY THEIR THIEVING FUCKING BOLLOCKS!!! 😡😡😡
UPDATE: It’s been 14 days ago when I ordered an ounce of Mixed Shake (116.99 including recorded post) from Dispenseroo but it never arrived. AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE.
I’ve ordered 4 times of dispenseree and only 1 order actually arrived. The 1st order I ordered some hash. 3 days later they messaged me saying sorry its sold out. I wasn’t happy. So they gave me a voucher for the value.
My 2nd order with the voucher I got 7g of runtz. To be honest it wasn’t much better than street weed and both 3.5’s were slightly under.
My 3rd order I ordered half oz of shake, it never arrived and they told me it was seized by DPD, so have me another voucher. I then had to wait ages to place my 4th order as they are always out of stock, then suddenly they had limited amount of shake and hash so thought surely they won’t mess me about again, so used the voucher and cash, in total £127.99 Inc postage I’d lost.
My 4th order placed, remained being processed for another 4 days until they said it was ready. Even though its supposed to be 48 hr delivery. Then on the 5th day they said they’d sent it. Royal mail have no tracking details of my parcel. And 3 days later they still don’t.
After numerous messages to them which they don’t answer, I finally got a reply today saying its been posted but royal mail are delaying pick ups at the pick up points.
Then a couple of hours later I checked my dispenseree account and they’ve now deleted my order from the order history.
So I’m now down £127.99 with no medication either.
I’m never using them again and don’t advise anyone else too
Like many here, I paid for next day and it took 8 days. No answers to emails or chat etc. The ‘hash’ when it arrived was hard like a rock and didn’t really do anything….nothing nice anyway. I do not recommend at all
Ordered successfully in the past, but nearly a month on from last order- nothing. Order says complete on their site but tracking shows RM still waiting on it. Have had a couple of responses to be fair, they turned out to be not true though.
A good model though, satisfy some orders and select some to just take the money, as there is no comeback -why not? Well done.
