Introduction 

I have tried quite a few CBD products from different companies over the years, but surprisingly I had never heard of Bud & Tender until recently.  

Bud & Tender launched their first premium CBD oil in 2018 and has continued to grow and develop since then.  

Some of their stand-out achievements to me are that in 2021 their CBD oil got officially approved and recommended by the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society.  

In 2022, they also got added to the UK Food Standard Agency (FSA) Novel Food validation list. 

Their CBD oil is broad-spectrum and 100% natural. It contains a variety of natural compounds from the plant including cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids, which work together to create the entourage effect.  

Overall, they seem like an impressive company that put a lot of effort into creating a high-quality product, which is very reassuring. 

I also like how they now plant a tree for every order they receive.  

I am excited to try the product to see how it compares to others I’ve tried.  

Packaging, branding, and labelling 

I was super impressed by the packaging. It comes across as a little fancy which makes me feel fancy!  

The bottle of oil comes in a protective cardboard tube. You slip off the top to unveil the oil safely tucked inside a perfectly shaped base.  

The branding is simple but attractive and the labelling is clear and informative. There are easy-to-follow dosage instructions along with the ingredients used on the outside of the packaging. There is also a QR code on the bottom that you can scan to look at the full certificate of analysis.   

Inside the tube, you will find a handy information and instruction leaflet. I had never seen anything like that before. I thought it was a great addition.  

The leaflet explains what cannabis oil is used for along with a description of the endocannabinoid system.  

It also has a handy guide on how to consume the oil and even provides a little table so you can monitor and assess how it’s helping you. 

Ingredients & production 

When it comes to any product, having easily pronounceable ingredients that are recognisable is important. 

It makes me feel better knowing I’m not having things hidden in there or that I’m ingesting unnecessary chemicals or by-products.  

This oil is simply made from 100% cannabis Sativa L. – A cannabis Sativa L. extract and cannabis Sativa L. seed oil.  

They only use the highest quality of plants that are grown specifically for CBD and they take care to remove waste materials, including lipids, waxes, and chlorophyll. I believe this has made a huge difference in the taste and feel of the oil in your mouth. It doesn’t leave a weird coating and just tastes and feels clean.  

The oil is extracted and filtrated using CO2 and ethanol. This process ensures the preservation of cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids. 

Finally, the oils are extensively tested by an independent accredited laboratory with a full lab report available to view when you scan the QR code at the base of the packaging.  

Taste 

As I previously mentioned, the processes this oil goes through to remove waste materials take it to the next level. It just gives it that fresh, clean floral cannabis taste. It is up there with the best I have tasted.  

Effects 

I use CBD oil for its calming effects on the nervous system and its anti-inflammatory properties. Basically, I use it to help with my crippling anxiety and my equally crippling aches and pains. 

Is this on par with my usual CBD? 100%. I used only this oil for 7 days to be sure of my judgments.  

This is a more concentrated oil than I’m used to and it’s nice to not have to use a whole 1ml pipette under the tongue to consume it. I used 0.5ml twice a day and I definitely noticed improvements in my anxiety symptoms and I wasn’t reaching for prescribed anti-inflammatories and painkillers as often.  

Conclusion  

For me, at £80 for a 10ml bottle, it’s a tad expensive compared to some other brands. However, considering the care taken to produce such a high-quality product, the price is understandable.
