Summary: “… clearly a high-quality product from a professional CBD company. With a short ingredients list, CBD Gold spray tastes good and works well.”
In this review, I will look at CBD Gold 500mg, a CBD spray sold by CannabidolPharm. It’s the first CBD spray I have tried and I was keen to compare it to regular CBD oils that come with droppers.
CannabidolPharm is a London-based company that sells a range of organic CBD products from the CBD Gold brand, including capsules, balms, isolate, e-liquids.
Their CBD spray is also available in 300mg and 1,000mg CBD.
All products sold by CannabidolPharm are made from organic hemp flowers grown without the use of any pesticides, herbicides, artificial fertilisers or harmful chemicals.
Packaging, branding and labelling
The CBD Gold brand is sleek and sophisticated. Despite the cannabis leaf displayed on the 20ml spray bottle, you could see this product sitting in your parents’ medicine cupboard.
The label clearly displays ingredients including cannabinoid content, usage instructions, and a medical disclaimer.
The spray works well and the seal doesn’t leak. The spray makes a nice change to the typical dropper most CBD oils have – which can be hard to accurately dose with. Having a certain amount of sprays under the tongue each day is a much simpler protocol to follow than counting drops, in my opinion.
I also carried the CBD spray with me when running errands and found it very handy for on-the-go dosing.
Just two ingredients make up this sprayable CBD oil: hemp seed oil and whole-plant hemp extract (supercritical CO2 extraction process used) with 500mg of cannabinoids including CBD, CBDa, CBC, CBN, CBG.
On their website, CannabidolPharm says that their CBD products also contain a large number of terpenes.
Among the terpenes present are Myrcene, Limonene, Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP). BCP is by far the most common terpene in CBDGold oils, according to CannabidoPharm.
Hemp seed oil is one of my favourite carrier oils for CBD. I like the nutty taste of hemp seed oil, and the hemp flower extract can add something extra.
This CBD Gold 500mg spray tastes like good hemp seed oil with a subtle peppery-ness to it, probably due to the Beta-Caryophyllene terpene present in the oil.
I find the spray is a great way of toning down the flavour. The vapour produced has a lot more od a neutral taste than droplets of the oil would.
500mg of cannabinoids dispersed within 20ml of liquid means this is a 2.5% CBD oil in this spray.
I found three sprays in the morning and three in the evening a good amount to keep me chilled out for most of the day. If you require a higher dose, you better off getting the 1000mg version.
This is clearly a high-quality product from a professional CBD company. With a short ingredients list, CBD Gold spray tastes good and works well.
I really like the spray over a dropper. Not only does it disperse the taste, but it’s also convenient and makes dosing more accurate.
